About the role
As an experienced Mechanical Fitter, you will be using specialised equipment to create products that meet specific design requirements. Whether is metal fabrication, stainless steel welding, maintenance engineering, or custom machining in the CNC Machine Shop, this role requires reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and different assembly requirement.
If you are ready to take this role, you should:
* Have experience operating manual metalworking machinery, including lathes and milling machines, showcasing your precision and expertise.
* Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of tasks, from manual machining to plant maintenance, pump repairs, routine maintenance, and light fabrication.
* Be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, ensuring their needs are met.
* work independently or manage a small team during installations and shutdowns
* Ability to work to a high standard based off instructions, sketches, and cad drawings.
* Have experience in general maintenance and diagnostic repair work
* Have basic welding skills
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Have a can-do attitude and work with initiative
* Current Drivers licence
* Minimum 5 years Trade experience
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand, be physically fit and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
