Job description
My client is a long standing, locally owned and well established engineering firm specialised in the manufacture of machinery that produces large scale cold formed steel for construction projects across the world.
With a solid pipeline of machine builds booked well into 2022 they are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer into the manufacturing team. This role comes with a FANTSTIC hourly rate + OT, Warm winter workwear & cool summer attire- Company benefits & perks and is in a brand new state of the art factory! There is also loads of parking, its close to the train & cycle ways!
The core of your role is build around the build, commissioning and servicing of their state of the art steel roll forming machines.
Some duties include:
* Pre commissioning inspection
* Work to build times & Standards
* Maintain production machinery
* Monitor build costs & suggest improvement
* Assist in the development of maintenance and production team & processes.
What you need?
* Min 3 + years experience as a Fitter / Turner or Mechanical Engineer
* Practical Mechanical / Machine building or large scale plant understanding
* Hydraulic Systems knowledge would be an advantage
* Ability to develop and prepare documentation
* Be able to communication and liaise across all levels of the business, suppliers & client base.
* Have an excellent sense of humour! This is an absolute must! This company is F U N
