Steelfort is a well-established and respected, privately owned company with a diverse range of retail and commercial products. Their head office is based in Palmerston North and the two segments of this company are its range of Outdoor Power Equipment and associated products, and its commercial range of manufactured equipment.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Executive to join this highly successful market leader. Reporting directly to, and supporting the General Manager (Sales & Marketing), the main objective is to develop and implement all aspects of the company's marketing requirements and strategies.
Their marketing strategy is well proven; however this position will have the autonomy to develop new and exciting strategies whilst being involved in traditional marketing activities.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Planning and managing the marketing strategy of events and activities for existing and new products
- The creation of marketing collateral, advertising material and other promotional material
- Website management including content and site platforms; both internal and external portals
- Managing social media and monitoring online marketing performance
- Working closely with the General Manager to co-ordinate the marketing plans for the company and generate a strategy that will have positive results for all divisions
To be successful you will ideally have:
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing or Business discipline
- Proven experience in a similar role
- High business acumen
- You will be a self-starter with a positive attitude and lots of energy!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of people
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher & PhotoShop
This is a pivotal role in their organisation therefore we are looking for someone who has previous experience working in a business/corporate environment who has strong business communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
