Based in the Manawatu, they are leaders in the design and manufacturing of Fuel Dispensing and Vapour Recovery Systems for use on Fuel Forecourts in New Zealand, Australia and South America. We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician on a full-time fixed term basis for around 6 months. We need someone to hit the ground running!

The purpose of this position is to implement Manufacturing, Engineering & New Product Introduction (NPI) support plans to support the effective transition of new products into production.

Key responsibilities include:

  • On-the-floor production support to the electronics manufacturing lines
  • Support the implementation of approved plans for production/assembly/test processes
  • Support the introduction of new product designs to be manufactured
  • Practical, hands on jig and fixture construction
  • Assist with production repairs/soldering and fault diagnosis
  • Assist with implementing improvements to existing products and processes resulting in cost reduction

    To be successful you will have the following:

    • Trade or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
    • Prior experience in a manufacturing engineering role (preferably in the electronics and mechanical assembly sectors)
    • Practical ability in manufacturing and repair environment
    • Electronic and mechanical problem solving and fault diagnosis experience
    • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment is highly desirable

      You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail and work well in a team environment.
