Job description

This high growth design and build construction company are a respected Tier 2 construction company specializing in projects across many build categories. They have invested heavily into processes and systems as well as ensuring culture is harnessed and employees are valued. They hand pick profitable projects which fit in with their strategy assigning right employees with right skills to right project whilst ensuring career growth. 

Due to internal reorganisational changes, a new role is being created to support the commercial manager who will be focussing on other areas of the business. As a result, they now need an aspiring Senior QS that can step into a management role to lead and manage a team of 10 QS's and be responsible for overal cost management of projects.

Key components of this role involve:

  • Management of the quantity surveying functions
  • Lead a sizeable team, performance review and mentoring
  • Leading tender preparation
  • Overall cost management monitoring
  • Identifying commercial risks
  • Reviewing, developing and implementing operating processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies

In order to be a success in this role, you are currently at Senior QS level with local experience of at least 3 - 4 years, but possess overall experience of at least 10 years.  You are practical, commercial, have an eye for detail, are adaptable and can confidently liaise across a range of stakeholders. The ability to lead a team and monitor performance is critical. This represesents an outstanding opening for a senior feeling at a ceiling in your career.  

This role offers a completive market salary $160K - $170K package
