Our client is a nationwide company for specialised industrial and engineering solutions. As a result of growth and lots of work in the pipeline in the new year, they are looking for a Maintenance Fitter and a Fitter Turner to join their team in Auckland.

To qualify for these roles, you will need to be a trade qualified fitter with at least 3 years of experience working in a factory or an engineering workshop.

The Maintenance Fitter will focus on the preventative and breakdown maintenance of production machines, while the Fitter Turner will focus on the machining and fabrication of metal parts using both conventional and some CNC machines, but there are cross over between the roles. They key thing is excellent, hands-on mechanical skills and good engineering aptitude.

In summary, the requirements for the role are,

* Trade certificate in fitting turning or mechanical engineering preferred
* Excellent hands-on mechanical skills
* At least 3 years of experience in a relevant role
* Extensive machining (CNC is a bonus) experience or production maintenance experience
* Welding and fabrication are highly desired
