Our clients plant consists of a highly trained workforce who are focussed and committed to producing a high quality product. Located in Hastings and with up to date manufacturing equipment, they are on the look out for a trade qualified maintenance fitter to join this already talented team. This role covers both day and afternoon shift on alternating shift rotation. This is a hands on role that requires excellent problem solvers who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

In this role the Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for:

• Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and general fabrication and installation of machines, tools and equipment
• Preventative maintenance on parts inventory, machinery, tools and equipment
• Continuous Improvement
• Optimizing equipment reliability and performance
• Providing system support
• Ability to work overtime when required

  To be successful you will have the following experience and skills:

  • Industrial experience in a medium-heavy environment and relevant qualifications (Engineering Trade Certificate or similar)
  • Excellent fabrication skills
  • An understanding of mechanical concepts
  • A practical approach to diagnosing and solving problems
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately, especially when under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to use your initiative and work unsupervised
  • Have 2 years plus experience in an industrial environment
  • Exceptional time management
  • Be committed to Health and Safety
