Job description
Our client is a long-standing and successful Engineering and Construction company that have established a strong reputation for completing large and challenging projects throughout New Zealand. They have many proud projects in their history and are seeking a new team member to join their team.
We are seeking an individual interested in a CNC Machine Operator position to join this company. Full training will be provided if needed for the successful applicant, however previous experience in a workshop environment is required.
The key functions of the role include:
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and machine instructions to accurately create the desired product.
- Load machine settings and ensure the correct tools are being used for the specified product.
- Regularly fine tune machine settings with the aim of achieving 100% productivity and quality.
- Conduct quality checks on 100% of CNC machine products to ensure they meet the company quality policy.
- Operate power tools, presses or other cutting and shaping tools and machines which you have been assessed as competent to use.
- Operate a stationary or travelling crane to lift, move and position load.
This position is Monday to Friday, starting at 7am - 3.30pm. The pay rate for this role is $22 - $24 per hour depending on experience.
