We are on the hunt for an experienced Machine Operator to join a civil and drainage company located in the sunny Bay of Plenty.

You will be operating a digger and will have full responsibility of the machine and checking for any mechanical faults.

Ideally, you will have some mechanical aptitude or previous experience working on civil construction sites.

The successful candidate will have:

* Current WTR tickets
* At least 3 years experience in civil drainage (including deep drainage, lowering concrete pipes etc)
* Be able to work off datums
* Mechanical aptitude highly regarded
* Able to organise your own work and have initiative and drive
* Health and safety concious
* Good references
* Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
* Physically fit to help on the ground if needed
