Job description

Our client is a well regarded Australasian food processor with multiple production sites in New Zealand. They are currently seeking a hands-on Logistics Manager to manage and implement improvements to the warehouse operation and inventory requirements of inwards and outwards goods.

Reporting to Supply Chain Manager, you will be managing a small team of around 5 staff members. We are looking for hands-on and dynamic manager who has previous practical warehousing experience, and is someone who can problem solve on the fly and take pride in overseeing the smooth running of the operation first-hand. Therefore, if you are looking for a purely desk based role this might be suitable for you.

Due to the short shelf life of the products, you will need to have previous experience in the food, dairy industry or similar. In addition, you will play a large role in production planning through the accurate and effective use of ERP systems, thus a high level of computer skills is required.

In summary, the requirements for this role are,
* A relevant degree in supply chain, logistics, or similar
* Extensive experience in warehouse operation and management
* Experience in supply chain and logistics
* Experience in FMCG is essential
* Experience with ERP systems and Excel

This is a Mon - Fri day-based role with flexible start and finish time with an attractive salary on offer. The place of work is located near the southern boundary of Auckland.
