This centre undertakes research and development, global sales management, servicing and manufacturing. Main products produced in Napier are power conversion technology such as the Active Voltage Conditioner (AVC), Reactive Power STATCOM and Industrial UPS for the international and local market. The Napier site are rapidly developing new product lines and therefore need more talented and dedicated employees to join their team in 2021 on a permanent basis to provide leadership and support to the assembly team to ensure an efficient, quality product build.

Knowledge and Experience required

To be successful in gaining a position as a Line Leader you will require the following skills and attributes

  • Proven ability to consistently meet high standards of efficiency and workmanship
  • Proficient in Microsoft office especially Outlook and Excel
  • Proven ability at leading a team to be successful
  • Problem solving capability, persistence and a drive to succeed
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good positive attitude when interacting with people
  • 6 Sigma/Lean training, knowledge of manufacturing principles.

    Main Accountabilities

    • Production Line: Ensuring the assembly line is operating responsibly and productively. Ensuring that the equipment used is regularly checked to calibration and safety standards all while maintaining a clean work area

      • Organisation: Ensuring assigned team members and product build is sequenced to the required stages including documentation, material delivery and timing to meet production plan.

        • Communication: Complete daily line meetings. Communicate with other staff and departments to identify and resolve issues early and collaborate on the overall product build.

          • Training: In conjunction with Shift Leaders and the Production Supervisor, identify training gaps for the line and initiate the training requirements as planned.

            • Improvement: Drive a continuous improvement culture through recording of quality issues and getting team members engaged and motivated to succeed.

              • Health and Safety: Ensure the line is running compliantly in conjunction with company safety policies and guidelines and promoting a safe work environment by setting a high standard.
