We’re looking for people who are passionate about DevOps and love the challenge of understanding the newest tools and technology available. This opportunity would see you join a mid-sized, established team that is part of one of the most recognisable brands in NZ. 

The role is designed to provide technical insight and services to projects defining and implementing fit for purpose solutions and toolsets to enhance application support and delivery.  In addition to the technical side you would be leading and mentoring the team as 2IC Lead using your existing Infrastructure, Engineering, design, development and consulting skills to enhance platform reliability. 

We’re looking for at least 4+ years of DevOps and a proven experience of leading/mentoring teams of 5 or more people.

Technically, you’ll need to have a wide-ranging skill set would include:

• Solid software development/ scripting experience, for example in Java, Javascript, .Net and Python 
• Experience in executing Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery best practices 
• OpenShift Docker is extremely advantageous or other PaaS, Caas technologies 
• Enterprise platform software engineering or Devops experience especially in Linux/ Unix
