We are on the look out for a Lab Assistant to start work with our client immediately.

The role:
As lab assistant, you are to work both in the lab and on the field. Testing hotmix ashpalt and civil construction materials. You will be required to spend time in both the lab and out on the road.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated interest/experience working a laboratory involved in;
- Hotmix asphalt testing
- Civil construction materials, asphalt, aggregate and soils testing
- Soil, aggregate & asphalt sampling
- On-site testing for construction, maintenance and paving crews
- Core drilling from pavement
- Attention to detail, keen and willing to learn
- Hands on, flexible and motivated to do a good job
- Flexible to travel outside Wellington region and work on projects in the Lower North Island
- Computer literate, MS Excel, Word
- Able to problem-solve
- Keen to contribute to team goals
- Able to communicate clearly with others and show some leadership skills
- Full NZ Drivers Licence – Class 1

The successful candidate must pass a pre employment drug test and have a clean MOJ.
