Job description

Our client is involved in the food processing industry and requires a candidate multi-skilled who is happy to and comfortable working with fish. While this role requires an experienced knife hand, the successful candidate will also be expected to assist with basic cleaning duties.

Duties include:

  • Be able to work in a cool room environment
  • Have the ability to manage manual handling tasks from 15kg up to 25kg (repetitive)
  • Be quick to pack, label and apply basic machine operating skills
  • Be available to work Monday - Friday (full-time hours + overtime)
  • Work with variety of fish products in a fast pace production environment
  • Pass the drug screen

    This role will require the candidate to predominantly be standing, therefore applicants must be used to being on their feet for long periods of time.

    You must have:

    • Knife hand experience (preferably in poultry or seafood)
    • Clear communication skills.
    • Reliable transport to get to and from work each day (Otahuhu location)
    • Available day shifts
    • Be happy to work around fish and seafood.

      Although this role will start as a temporary position, our client is happy to offer long term opportunity and upskilling to candidates who prove themselves to be reliable. The role is dayshift M-F with occasional Saturday work as well.
