KidsCan - GM Fundraising and Marketing

Marketing & Social Media

Job description

We’re looking for a very experienced strategic marketer who can effortlessly take the reins of the KidsCan marketing dream team in this very special management role.
You’ll help ensure the KidsCan family continues to have the resources they need to make a difference in the lives of young New Zealanders in hardship. Every day, this inspiring organisation helps thousands of children around the country start their day fed, dry and warm, so they can engage at school and have a better chance of reaching their full potential in life.  Sadly, demand for KidsCan’s services continues to grow, which is why having a safe pair of hands in this role is so vital.

For you, this is an opportunity to experience a uniquely positive workplace, leading and nurturing a passionate team of marketers and fundraisers. Your energy, enthusiasm and proven leadership experience will enable you to hit-the-ground-running and begin adding value from day one.
You’ll ensure the team’s marketing and fundraising KPI’s continue to be met — from achieving revenue targets, identifying areas for improvement to delivering on KidsCan’s core strategic initiatives. This will involve managing six direct reports and a total team of 13 including Communications, Partnerships, Campaigns & Events, and Database.

You’ll continue to develop and deliver the brand and marketing strategy, oversee the development and execution of the media and social strategy, and take responsibility for delivering the monthly giving programme.  You’ll work collaboratively with the KidsCan Management Team while maintaining and growing relationships with key external partners.  Growth will be a focus in this role, focusing on customer acquisition, business development and commercial marketing.

Your proven strategic and team leadership experience will be backed by a strong record of performance in the areas we have outlined above. You’ll need to be strategically minded, agile, solution focused and people oriented. Naturally, you’ll have a sound understanding of all marketing channels, with a particular flair for acquisition. Knowledge of the non-for-profit space as well as a commercial environment and your absolute passion for delivering results and KidsCan’s aspirations will set you apart from the rest.
You’ll relish being part of an innovative working environment where people are seriously into what they do and have fun doing it. You can also expect an attractive salary and the lifestyle advantages of a central North Shore base.

If you’re excited about taking on this great opportunity and making some magic happen for Kiwi kids while you’re there, contact Annie O’Keefe today.
