Duties & Responsibilities:

The efficient and precise act of constructing and formalising a tender proposal to procure Glass Installation contracts paying attention to meeting agreed profit margins without risk to employees, environment, equipment, customers or third-party property. As part of a small team, there is plenty of variety and customer contact, requiring you to be a dynamic person who can provide back up to the sales team and loves being in the thick of the action.

You will be joining the supportive team in Wiri, Auckland. Working days and hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide customers with quotation proposals based on their requirements and design;
  • Tenders and quotations are submitted on time and are completed to a high standard;
  • Projects are completed within the allowed estimates - meet or beat the bottom-line profits on each contract;
  • Ensuring contractual obligations are met;
  • Compliance to Health and Safety is met by your team;
  • Monitor customer payments through coordination with Contracts Manager, Glazing Supervisors and Customer Services and accurately calculate payment claims and follow up any deviations;
  • To ensure that Glass Installations and Tenders comply with the New Zealand Building Code and relevant Glass Standards.
  • Conduct post project profitability analysis and feedback with the team.

    The successful applicant will possess:

    • Estimating/ Quantity Surveyor Trade qualification.
    • A background or some knowledge of Glass, Glazing and Building Products.
    • An understanding of the building code, particularly, the glazing standards for buildings.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Being process oriented and having an eye for detail
    • Administration background and multi-skilling.
    • Strong people-skills with demonstrated customer service focus and team approach.
    • Safety focused individual with proven record of following and directing safe procedures and ensure H&S policies are met;
    • Knowledge on computer packages as Microsoft Word and Excel.
