Junior Draughtsman

They are seeking for a Junior Draughtsperson to join their team in Frankton, Hamilton. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification i.e. NZCE/Diploma in Engineering with sound knowledge of AutoCAD/ SolidWorks and ideally have experience working in similar kind of role in New Zealand. Critical to this role will be an ability to think strategically, build rapport with external and internal customers and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

To be successful, you will ideally be from a sheet metal production background, with proven production experience.

As a minimum you will have experience:

• Design and drawing of parts to be profile cut - AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Detailing quote drawings and quote preparation
• Dealing with customer and supplier queries
• Creating and maintain laser Job cards and follow up job costings of laser jobs
• Programming of laser nests
• Purchasing of materials
• General administration duties for the laser team and database maintenance
• To Drive a Zero Harm culture
