Job description

On behalf of our client we are excited to start the search on their behalf for an outstanding Jig and Die Maker to join their team

As an experienced Jig and Die Maker, you will be responsible for the fabrication of jigs, dies, platens and other such machine parts used in the printing and production process. Jigs and platens are required to be made for use on a variety of printing equipment including pad print, screen print, heat press and direct digital print for handling a large range of different items to hold them securely during the printing process for accurate print colour registration and print quality.

Key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Fabrication of jigs, dies platens and other machine parts
  • Proficient use and experience with laser cutters, mills, lathes and routers.
  • Thoroughly testing and trialling parts prior to being released for production use
  • Maintaining inventory of jigs, dies and platens, ensuring they are kept in good repair and working order.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment and adapting to changes in the work environment

    To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

    • Experience and/or training with Jig and Die making
    • Experience with equipment such as laser cutters, mills, lathes and routers.
    • Reliable transport to and from work
    • Honest and reliable with a great work ethic
    • At least two recent work related referees
