Job description

A new opportunity has become available within the vendor environment to work with some of NZ’s leading organisations across government and private sector. This organisation offers strategy, design, technology and support services and adds value through long-term client partnerships.

We’d be expecting you to use your varied Java experience to join a team delivering the development and integration of solutions to customers. As you’ll be one of the more experienced team members you’ll not only be hands-on coding but also providing mentoring and technical coaching. There will be additional opportunities to help drive improvements to the development practices and assist in the solutions to clients' technical issues.  

You’ll be keen to demonstrate your capability of working within the vendor environment, you’ll gain the benefits of engaging with various clients and platforms, constantly upskilling your toolkit.  

Some the skills and knowledge you'll be expected to bring with you would include:

  • Preferred languages and frameworks, Java and JavaEE, JavaScript, Angular and React
  • Delivery methods including DevOps, Continuous Integration and Agile
  • Integration/Middleware solutions such as IBM, Amazon, MuleSoft, Red Hat and SilverStripe

We’ll also be very keen to understand the role you have personally played in some of your more significant projects so far.

This opportunity could see you join a team which is talented and constantly learning as training is high on the agenda.   The company location is central Wellington with the vast majority of clients within walking distance or a short cab ride when needed.
