Job description

As an IT Help Desk Operator, you will act as a point of contact for internal employees seeking technical assistance over the phone, email and onsite. You will be troubleshooting systems and network problems, diagnosing hardware/software faults, maintaining computer systems, supporting new applications.

In order to be considered for this role you will ideally have most or all the following:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a IT Helpdesk (Level 1 or above) is favourable.
  • Self-taught hobbyist or a qualified professional with an IT degree/diploma
  • Knowledge and experience with peripheral devices such as PC's, printers, networking concepts, protocols and services, firewalls, routers and Switches.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Office 365 is favourable
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, group policy, DNS is favourable
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Understands the importance of keeping documentation records up to date.
  • Ability to work independently and assist team members in resolving customer problems.
  • Can communicate with non-technical people.
  • Excellent customer facing skills. Superb written and verbal communication skills are essential.
