Job description

  • 2 months with likely extension (after Christmas)
  • 75 hours a fortnight
  • Start date 14 or 21 October 2019

Working within a team that provide guidance for staff via the intranet with regards to managing their relationship with the Minister, Parliament and the Official Information Act and Privacy Act systems. This guidance requires work to: update existing content, introduce new content, improve usability, and provide a more coherent user interface.

Reporting to a Principal Advisor you will work to deliver a project to improve the team’s intranet presence.

This will involve:

  • Developing and delivering an intranet project plan
  • Developing and implementing a structure for the intranet presence using the intranet platform
  • Design, write and post content in conjunction with subject matter experts and users (including reviewing and migrating existing content)
  • Developing a programme for ongoing management of the content

You will have proven skills in:

  • Web writing: taking technical content and producing easy to understand content
  • Web-design: developing well-presented and easily navigated content
  • Project co-ordination
  • Good relationship skills and knowledge of machinery of government would be an advantage.
