Our large privately-owned client is proud to be a nation-wide provider and they are currently in need of an excellent internal sales representative for their Mount Maunganui branch. This person will place a high importance on product knowledge so that they are able to service customer queries in a timely and efficient manner. Superior customer service is at the heart of this role.

If you are a great communicator with experience in negotiating sales, especially over the phone, and would like to work for a well respected company then this could be the position for you.

About the role:

  • Negotiate and gain sales using effective selling techniques over the phone
  • Prepare and submit quotes - following up where necessary
  • Supplying technical product information
  • Investigate tenders and follow up on any sales opportunities
  • Support the sales representatives when they need it
  • Loading customer orders
  • Keeping in touch with the purchasing department on stock levels and ensuring stock availability
  • Assist in the stores as required

    About you:

    • Strong negotiating and sales skills and experience
    • An excellent telephone manner and ability to work well with others
    • Write and speak effectively and computer literate
    • The ability to adapt and pitch in within the wider company where necessary
    • Dedication to Health & Safety
