You know your way around the automotive industry.   You’ve probably spent some time with young apprentices as they worked towards achieving their unit standards and a National Qualification? (You were probably one yourself!)
 
This could make you ideal for a role that makes the most of your industry skills and knowledge plus giving you the chance to take your career in a rewarding different direction.
 
MITO is the industry training organisation for the automotive industry and others. As one their enthusiastic team of assessors, you’ll have the task of assessing the work of MITO learners working towards qualifications. (On-line) 
 
You’ll:
  • work closely with MITO training advisors to ensure that assessment work is completed prior to submission and training designers to ensure assessment materials are fit-for-purpose.
  • deliver special projects for the Assessment & Moderation
  • Contribute to wider ITO projects or initiatives 
    Needed: 
    • experienced and qualified automotive professional
    • enjoy contributing to the future of the industry and helping young people
    • be a strong communicator
    • have exposure to quality control systems and unit standards
    • sound reporting writing and computer skills. 
      Knowledge of the NZQA framework and industry training would be an advantage, but rest assured, there is great training and plenty of support to get up to speed.
