The company:

Our client is a known business based in Airport Oaks area and looking for someone with an import operations background in freight to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great company with a great team.

The position:

The position is Import Seafreight Operator that will have a mix of Imports and Customer Service involved. Duties as follows:

  • Processing and data entry of import sea shipments
  • Track and Trace
  • Invoicing
  • Rates and quotations
  • Dealing with overseas origin offices
  • Passing of documents to the Customs Brokers for clearance
  • Bond checks
  • Dealing with origin offices, customers/clients and other freight forwarders
  • Placing of orders with origin offices
  • Monitoring of import shipments
  • Keeping clients informed of their shipment progress.

    What you need to have:

    • Previous import operations experience ideally seafreight - a minimum of 2-3 years
    • Good working knowledge of EDI
    • Great communication skills, be focused and motivated
    • Able to work within a team
    • Reliable transport

      Other info you need to know:

      • The company is offering a good salary of up to 65K dependent on your previous experience.
      • This role is Monday to Friday - hours 8.30 am to 5.00 pm - and with the freight industry, you will already know that some flexibility is required for extra hours when required.
