ICE Tutor-trainee

Trades & Services

Job description

If working with apprentices and helping them stay on track for a great career in the industry is something you've seen as a joy -- not a chore, then have we got the career side-step for you!

Training the next generation of plumbers and gasfitters as a tutor at ICE doesn't mean downing tools completely, but it does mean channeling your passion into a role you can truly make your own.

The demand for plumbers and gasfitters just doesn't let up, which is why ICE are adding another tutor to their team of experienced industry professionals. Join them, and you'll be right at home in a team that's all about mentoring, educating and inspiring people to successfully complete their apprenticeship and get on their way to good money and a variety-packed career.

You'll do this at ICE's brand-new training facility in East Tamaki, where your role will be a mix of small classes, bloc courses and at times, evening contact sessions.

Naturally, you won't be unleashed on a class of apprentices without plenty of training and support. You will learn the ropes from other tutors and slowly build your teaching capabilities.

You'll also support the Programme Manager with a host of associated training support, such as assisting with the development of new training material and assessment tools.

Aside from your plumbing qualifications and industry experience, the most important skill you will bring to this role is an ability to engage and inspire young people. You'll know how to communicate with them, motivate them and get the best from them.

In return, you can look forward to an attractive salary and fantastic range of benefits including free parking, ongoing training and development, and coffee via an awesome coffee machine.

If you're keen to explore your passion for youth and take your career in a new and rewarding direction, contact Annie O'Keefe today.
