Job description

Position Purpose:

The HR Advisor – People & Organizational Development will provide Organizational Development & Capability/human resource advice and business partner support to the core organization and CCO’s. This role aims to align with the people, processes, and practices that enable the organization’s strategies and commitments to be achieved, and to provide functional leadership to assigned portfolios.


Key Accountabilities:


* Deliver Organizational Development & Capability support and advice to allocated business units or departments as a business partner.
* Contribute to the development of the overall HR strategy and cultural development initiatives with a strong focus on continuous improvement and the adoption of established good practice.
* Encourage excellence in health, safety, and wellbeing practices.
* Ensure IR/ER support, advice, and practices are accurate and aligned with legislation.
* Support the implementation of the organization’s learning and development framework including its commitment to building Bicultural capability.
* Coach and support managers and employees in the application of HR and People practices.
* Develop and implement Performance Improvement initiatives.
* Participate/lead projects as required.


Required:


* A relevant Tertiary Qualification in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Significant experience in a broad range of general HR functions.
* Some technical expertise in the area of remuneration.

Position Specific Competencies and Attributes:

* A high level of understanding of all HR related legislative requirements.
* The ability to investigate, analyze, and make recommendations on HR and employment relations matters.
* The ability to maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with information relating to employees and/or sensitive issues.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively advise and coach managers in HR/people practices.
