Our client is a kiwi success story, listed on the NZX they are a global leader in the areas they operate. They operate a combination of retail company owned networks and e-commerce sites. This is a replacement hire and they are looking for an experienced Reporting Manager, to join their business. This role would be reporting to the CFO.  

Ideally, you would be a CA qualified. You would provide accurate and timely consolidated monthly financial statements and annual statutory financial accounts.

The role is responsible for coordination of the annual audit at a group level, the insurance renewal process,  review of the group and subsidiary tax returns, preparation of group transfer pricing and intercompany recharges, review of royalty calculations and payments, review of all group Balance Sheet account reconciliations, and ensuring the integrity of the internal control environment through assisting with the review, establishment and compliance of corporate governance policies, and procedures, and involvement in projects or production of various ad-hoc financial reports as required by senior management. Some Key responsibilities would be:

·        Excellent technical financial accounting skills, including IFRS, tax-effect accounting, group consolidation and statutory reporting

·        7 years minimum experience in a Financial Accountant role

·        Responsible for keeping up to date with local GAAP and tax compliance laws

·       Manage the completion of accurate consolidated monthly financial accounts including elimination entries and reporting within set timeframes, complete with explanatory, and informative, variance analysis as derived and reviewed from the country accountants

·        Manage the intercompany accounting process to ensure that all subsidiary balances eliminate upon consolidation.

·        Responsible for keeping up to date with local GAAP and tax compliance laws

·        Responsible for the completion of Transfer Pricing related tax compliance.

·        Achievement of the reporting deadline of with minimal reporting errors.

·        Minimal feedback requiring additional explanatory analysis

·        Intercompany accounts eliminate upon consolidation
