This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent accounting graduate to start your Accounting and Finance career, reporting to the Financial Controller. You would be working and supporting the wider finance team for general day to day accounting task and some administrative tasks.

My client is a Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ) Approved Training Employer (ATE). This role would suit recent graduates who may be interested in furthering their studies.

You will be part of a close-knit financial team and focused on the delivery of professional, timely and accurate accounting services. You’ll apply your expertise to ensure processes reflect best practice levels and are aligned with company policies.

The ideal candidate would have the following: -

• Ability to work in a small team environment. My client is a close-knit team so it's important you can slot into it
• New Zealand accounting degree. You must have the correct papers and a willingness to complete the Postgraduate Chartered Accountant Program (CA) with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
• Strong attention to detail, dedication to deadlines and the ability to pick things up quickly
• Ability to think outside the square and solve problems with ease
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc
• Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills
