Lower North Island Opportunity

Due to a change in how Viridian New Zealand is structured, a newly created position reporting to the New Zealand CEO has been created. This position will play a key role in the success of Viridian Glass New Zealand as it will be directly responsible for the Lower North Island (from Sales to Operations and everything in between - including one of our four Processing Plants). This role is a genuine opportunity to stamp your mark on our future with plenty of focus on the Lower North Island as a region for substantial growth and operational plant improvements. We have skilled teams working across this region in branch leadership, sales, and operational management roles, so you'll be support by highly capable direct reports ready for fresh thinking and direction.

As part of the senior New Zealand team you will be responsible for leading excellence across revenue and margin growth, service delivery, and overall financial metrics for your region. You will be required to lean on your sound general management experience to lead a diverse team, across two locations, to collectively deliver on our customer promise. Overall you will take on the role of ensuring an effective and profitable region, impacting on Viridian New Zealand's goals.

This role is no walk in the park, so we'll be looking for evidence of being very results driven whilst drawing on a high level of leadership capability. Therefore, your leadership background will demonstrate sound execution of 'leading leaders', ability to motivate teams, and tap into that discretionary effort that great leaders manage to do.

The ability to champion a safety-first culture through role modelling and promoting high health & safety standards is critical. As is ensuring the embedding continual operational improvement initiatives across all functions.

To be considered for this key position you'll;

  • be known for your ability to lead well, think on your feet and your capability to achieve divisional excellence
  • motivated by outcomes and be driven by creating a highly productive working environment
  • have a minimum 10 years Senior Management experience in a Manufacturing, Operations, and Sales capacity
  • university degree qualified; having glass or construction industry background isn't necessary but will be favourable
  • proven track record of safety leadership and manufacturing performance improvements is essential
  • have great communication and negotiation skills with the ability to inspire and engage others given the seniority of the role is a huge advantage
