About the Organisation
Our Client is looking for a kaiwhakahaere matua to lead their bi-cultural Organisation into the future. A visionary leader who will build and maintain strategic relationships and networks with legal entities, local organisations within the Community Sector, Government and funder representatives.
This Organisation needs a strong role model who will support their values;
Manaakitanga - showing respect to each other, their volunteers and clients even when it's difficult. To communicate with each other so that they can go above and beyond to show manaaki. A place where a culture of manaaki thrives and grows.
Rangatiratanga - They empower their clients with information to navigate legal systems successfully. Encouraging their people to exercise their own judgement and self-management.

To be successful in this role you do not need to have a legal background. You will be a Community leader, a person who inspires others, embracing diversity and inclusion.
Your background may vary, we are open to this. Ideally you will have experience in;
You will have a strong awareness of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and a sound understanding of the application of Te Tirito o Waitangi - both in the workplace and the wider community.
