A well established engineering company based in Rotorua supplying national and International clients is seeking a well rounded general engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for a competent and experienced person to join a very successful, Bay of Plenty Company. The successful person will be working closely with the Supervisor.

We require a General Engineer with a great positive can-do attitude who can use their experience of a varied work history “to get the job done”. We are looking for people who can think outside of the box. Every job is different here, and you will have the capacity to consider every challenge and assist with solutions. We want a person who sees the solution not a problem.

If you have the following, then we would like to hear from you.

• Welding Certifications and welding experience especially in Mig / Arc Welding / Arc Air.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blue prints, and verbal instructions.
• Some machining experience advantagous
• Experience in Supervising people.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Strong desire to teach and improve the skills of everyone in the team.

The person we are looking for will have a minimum of 3 years engineering experience, however a trade qualification may not necessarily be required. You must be willing to undertake a fabrication test.
You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

This position is a full time permanent role and to be considered for this role you must be resident in and legally entitled to work in New Zealand
