We are on the peak season of steel production and we have a vacancy for an experienced gantry / steel operator based in Mt Wellington. If you have at least worked with over-sized metal, pipes, steel and concrete pipes, this position is your opportunity.

This role will involve day-to-day processing and picking orders of concrete pipes, steel metals, ductile iron, valves and fencing products. Delivering quality service to customers and clients throughout the Store. Manual handling is 70% of the role which involves loading of large steel into a gantry chain and carefully move this around.

To be suitable for this position, the ideal applicant must meet the following;

• good attention to detail
• customer service
• gantry operating skills
• physically strong to lift
• capable of manual handling
• stock / order picking
• warehouse admin experience

  • shifts: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 17:00 pm
  • pay rate: $19 - $23 per hour
  • location: Penrose
