About our Client

Our client is one of the biggest freight companies within New Zealand and in preparation for the busy Christmas season coming up are looking for physically fit individuals to join their team of freight handlers.

The role

We have a variety of roles available and are currently recruiting across all. There are day shift, afternoon shift and night shift available with the opportunity to earn a special allowance on top of the minimum wage pay rate for late evening and night shifts.

There is also the potential for weekend work.

You will be loading parcels onto the conveyor belt as well as loading parcels for the delivery drivers and helping in other areas as required.

To be successful you will have:

• A high level of physical fitness - able to lift up to 25kg
• Own reliable transport - some of the shift patterns are outside public transport hours so this must be considered.
• Able to repetitively lift items ranging in size and weight
• The ability to listen to instructions and communicate clearly.

  The work is located by Christchurch airport and is based inside a warehouse; however this can be a cold working environment, depending on the outside weather.
