Job description

Our Client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipeline systems in Australasia. They manufacture and distribute pipe products ranging in size from 15mm and up to 3000mm, for applications including water, sewerage, mining, slurry, gas, telecommunications and electrical conduits. The products are manufactured from a diverse range of polymer and metals, including Glass Reinforced Plastics (GRP), Ductile Iron (DI), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP) and Polybutylene (PB).

The role:

We are looking for a Forklift Operator / Pick Packer who has experience working in a warehouse environment. It is preferable if you have operated a Forklift with loads at height and with different sized pallets but it is not essential to be successful in the role.

You will have the drive to succeed, take pride in your work and have impeccable attention to detail. You will be open to learning more about the business and someone who puts their hand up to opportunities as they arise.

  • Moving product from the factory into the yard
  • Picking orders from the yard into staging areas for loading onto trucks
  • Manual handling of product - heavy lifting (up to 25kgs)
  • RF scanners are used and there wil be Forklift work - a valid OSH Forklift Licence is required

      Days & Hours:

      You can expect to work about 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday and on a Sunday morning every two weeks. You will be part of a rotating roster where you will work days one week and nights the week after. The day shift is 5.45am until 3.15pm and the night shift is 3.15pm until 1.15am. When you are on the night shift you will be asked to work Sunday morning to put away production from 6am -10am.

      You will need to pass the following pre-employment screening:

      • Pre-employment drug test
      • Ministry of Justice background check (some driving charges may be accepted)
      • ACC history check
      • Driver licence (minimum full) and own reliable transport
