Due to our clients busy season approaching OneStaff are seeking experienced forklift operators to fill a variety of upcoming roles in the Invercargill and Southland area. These roles will be between 1 and 5 months in duration

The work environment will be in factories or warehouses, and duties will include stacking shifting and securing pallets up to 1 ton in weight as well as loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers.

Duties for this role include;

• Forklift Operation
• Manual labouring and lifting boxes/sacks between 10 and 25kg onto pallets
• Quality Control- checking of product
• General cleaning and maintenance around the factory floor
• Stacking, weighing, measuring and sewing of bags

  To be successful for these role you will need the following;

  • Current OSH Certificate and or F endorsement this is found on your NZ drivers licence
  • Previous Forklift and manual labouring experience
  • Have a proactive approach to work, use initiative but will seek advice where required
  • Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • A strong work ethic and reliability is essential
  • Keen to learn and not afraid to attempt new tasks
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Able to work autonomously, but also engage with a busy team
  • Reliable transport to and from work
  • Two reliable work references related to forklift operation
  • Pass a pre employment drug test
  • Some roles will involve shift work and will be discussed at interview
