Our client located in Otahuhu is looking for a reliable forklift operator. Based in a large fish processing factory, this role would involve working in a team to ensure that products are stored, picked, and dispatched properly. You must be comfortable working in cold environments.

Duties include:

• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Strapping and wrapping pallets.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Operating and managing technical equipment.
• Ensuring correct shipping information is attached and moving orders to shipping area.

  The candidate will need a current and valid forklift license. Experience using a reach license is desirable, but not absolutely mandatory. The ideal candidate would have at least 1year experience in a forklift-predominant role.
  
  Skills required:

  • Forkhoist experience, ideally in a cold environment.
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator.
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
  • Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced logistics environment.

    The shifts are Monday - Friday 4:45 - 14:00/16:00. Overtime is also required on most Saturdays 6:00 - 12:00. This role is usually 50+ hours a week, 7 days a week so it would suit someone who is eager to work a lot.
