Our client is well established FMCG manufacturer located in central Hamilton. They are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machines and some utility services in a Mon- Fri day based position.

The production machines are all highly automated so we are seeking those with similar experience and ideally from a FMCG background as well. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the optimal running of production and keep down time to a minimal. Due to the nature of this industry, you will need to be comfortable with documenting processes in a meticulous way and adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and health and safety.

We are looking for someone with excellent hands-on fault-finding skills on the mechanical side, with electrical being a bonus. Our client enjoys a highly collaborative and fluid approach to their operation - this role would suit someone who has good engineering aptitude, open to new ideas and likes to think outside the box.

In summary, the requirements for this role are,

* A relevant trade qualification or degree in engineering
* Excellent mechanical fault-finding skills (electrical is a bonus)
* Manufacturing experience with automated production machines (FMCG is ideal)
* Able to follow processes and quality standards
* Broad engineering exposure in process engineering, design, utilities, commissioning, etc. is a bonus
