Job description

Our Client, who is based 30mins south of Rotorua, is currently seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to manage and improve their organisation's financial performance and direct their accounting operations.

The Financial Controller's duties will include managing 5 production administration and accounting staff as direct reports, maintaining accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring site compliance, information reporting, management of the IT systems, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, preparation of monthly and annual financial and production analysis reports, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

This position is based at the heart of the company's operations and you will work with all aspects of the production chain including ensuring that all information is collected, collated, and disseminated correctly.

Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a Financial Controller will aid their organisation in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organisational targets, and developing financial plans that support their strategy.

Financial Controller Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in finance management.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel and Word skills.

    The remuneration package will be based on experience and qualifications.
