The Financial Controller is a key leadership role within the Finance team and responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the organisation’s Financial Management Information System (FMIS).

This role includes maintenance of the finance compliance and control activities including establishing and reviewing policies, procedures and processes; process controls. It will be necessary to establish a program of continuous improvement as it is essential services provided are quality focused and assist in achieving high standards of efficiency and timeliness.

The role is responsible for completion of the organisation’s financial reporting obligations with a particular focus on the Annual Report and its subsequent audit. This will require liaison with a wide range of internal customers and the external auditors to ensure accuracy and timeliness in line with statutory requirements.

This senior role is full of challenge, with a strong focus on internal stakeholder interactions and continuing to develop a talented team and their collective capability the right way, and includes supervisory oversight of the following key functions:

• Rating
• Accounts Receivable and
• System configuration and maintenance.

You will be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent, bring extensive proven experience in financial accounting roles, proven track record of understanding system configuration and maintenance, proven track record of creating and maintaining an effective internal control environment, proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships across a broad range of sectors at a senior level.

Experience leading and managing a team including all aspects of staff and resource management.

Demonstrated experience in TechOne and/or Finance One highly desirable.
