Our client is a market leader in the areas they operate in. They are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team on the north shore. This is a newly created role, reporting to the Head of Finance in NZ you will looking after a range of financial and month end accounting tasks, fixed assets, transfer pricing and reporting the annual statutory accounts. Working closely with the Management Accountant and Head of Finance you would be part of the core Accounting & Finance team for the New Zealand business.

Responsibilities include:

·        Month end close-off and reporting

·        Assist with the company accounting operations

·        Preparation of financial accounts for statutory reporting

·        Balance sheet reconciliations

·        P&L reports including management commentaries

·        Fixed Asset Register maintenance

·        Prepare financial reviews to report forecast to maintain correct Transfer pricing

·        Prepare the annual statutory accounts

The Ideal Person

·        Qualified accountant either CA from CAANZ or CPA

·        Adaptable and flexible attitude

·        Able to liaise effectively at all levels

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills absolutely a must have skill

·        3 to 5 years commercial experience ideal

Candidates with prior Big Four or second tier-chartered accounting firms with large commercial client would be preferred.

SAP experience a big plus
