Estimator/QS-Residential

Our client, a nationally recognised builder of quality homes are looking for an Estimator/QS to join their dedicated Housing New Zealand team.

The person appointed to this role will be responsible for the following:

• Tendering
  • Measuring
    • Manual take offs
      • Payment Claims
        • Documentation Review
          • Final Price Composition
            • Attend site visits
              • Cost X proficient

                The ideal applicant for this role will have:

                • Three years plus experience working as an Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor in residential home building in New Zealand.
                  • Be familiar with the Building Code and possessing a detailed knowledge of the building process for all types of residential construction.
                    • A relevant QS tertiary qualification
                      • Some previous experience or knowledge of HNZC systems and/or commercial residential work would be an advantage.
                        • With one dedicated client you must be able to prioritise your work to meet stringent reporting time frames and be able to work without supervision. This role will see you being involved in the entire project from contract to handover.
                          • Excellent communication, verbal and written

                            Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

                            Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the industry.
