At the forefront of commercial property redevelopment and maintenance, our client are a one stop shop for all major commercial renovations, fit outs, fire protection and maintenance. They are a contractor of choice working with well known and exciting clients working on a wide range of commercial projets.
Due to expansion they are seeking a well developed Estimator - You could be an intermediate estimator or a senior estimator. We are negotiable for the right candidate!
As the companies estimator you will:
* Provide detailed pricing estimates and quotation schedules in response to customer requests using costing databases including contractor requirements
* Compile all sub contractor agreements & procurement
* Asses payment claims & Variations
* The ability to run takes offs and variations from detailed plans
* Undertake site visits and client management alongside the Senior PM
* Measure work from plans using established professional techniques and prepare schedules of work
* Pre-project tender process, technical support, budgeting, estimating, contract negotiation, variations, payment claims on commercial projects
What do you need?
* A minimum 3 years exp as a Estimator or QS from within construction
* Be passionate about the built environment!
* An excellent attention to detail and ability to problem solve
* Strong interpersonal skills including relationship management
* Excellent knowledge of construction materials and contractual obligations
* Culture fit is key - you will enjoy a laugh, good office banter and love working as apart of a cohesive team.
* Experience using Simpro would be a bonus
* Although a related degree would be fantastic it is NOT essential for trade qualified / time served candidates.
Experience working within the commercial or residential construction industry (including wholesale & trade ) is imperative for this role.
