Duties & Responsibilities:

The efficient and precise act of constructing and formalising a tender proposal to procure Glass Installation contracts paying attention to meeting agreed profit margins without risk to employees, environment, equipment, customers or third-party property. As part of a small team, there is plenty of variety and customer contact, requiring you to be a dynamic person who can provide back up to the sales team.

You will be joining the supportive team in Hamilton. Working days and hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understand, design and provide customers with quotation proposals which meet their requirements.
  • Tenders and quotations are submitted on time and are completed to a high standard.
  • Projects are completed within the allowed estimates - meet or beat the bottom-line profits on each contract.
  • Glass Installations and Tenders comply with the New Zealand Building Code and relevant Glass Standards.
  • You and all other team members are actively engaged and positively support our safety culture.
  • Results are measured by providing management with monthly performance reports.
    • Liaise with the Contracts Manager, Glazing Supervisors and Customer Services and accurately calculate payment claims for; progress claims, customer deposits, retentions and final invoicing.

      The successful applicant will possess:

      • Experience in Estimating will be highly advantageous.
      • A background or some knowledge of Glass, Glazing and Building Products.
      • An understanding of the building code, particularly, the glazing standards for buildings.
      • Excellent communication skills.
      • Being process oriented and having an eye for detail
      • Administration background and multi-skilling.
      • Strong people-skills with demonstrated customer service focus and team approach.
      • Knowledge on computer packages as Microsoft Word and Excel.
