Our Client supplies reliable, professional and innovative solutions to the rigging, scaffolding, engineering and heavy transport sectors. They are in need of an Engineering Leading Hand to ensure that all Engineering work is executed at Industry Best Standards within Health and Safety and Environmental practices.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan, prepare and document all Engineering requirements. Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

* Providing an excellent service to clients.
* Ensure all work is to Industry Best Standards, on time and in budget.
* Carry out all justified work instructions from the Site Supervisor.
* Workshop Leadership
* Match the jobs with correctly qualified staff.
* Staff management and training
* Toolbox Meetings and Health and Safety
* Check and sign off daily time sheets.
* Ensure a drug-free and safe environment
* Problem solve and clarify needs for customers
* Decipher and interpret drawings to create the customers design
* Quality Assurance (QA) monitoring
* Record Keeping
* Maintenance and Care of Plant and Equipment
* Monitor stock levels.
* Invoicing

Ideally you will have a Full Clean Class 1 licence and a Certificate in Engineering - Fabrication (Level 4), or equivalent. You will have experience working in an engineering environment/workshop, have extensive knowledge of metals and their properties and knowledge of the necessary health and safety regulations. If you come from the construction or heavy maintenance industry, it will be an added advantae.

Skills required:
* Excellent welding skills
* An understanding of different welding processes and equipment
* Be able to interpret technical drawings
* Be practical and adaptable
* Accurate, with an eye for detail
* Responsible and safety-conscious
* Good at basic maths.
* Be fairly strong, as there can be some heavy lifting involved
* Have good eyesight (with or without corrective lenses)
* Have steady hands.
* Have the ability to supervise people
