Based in the Manawatu, they are leaders in the design and manufacturing of Fuel Dispensing and Vapour Recovery Systems for use on Fuel Forecourts in New Zealand, Australia and further a field. An opportunity exists for an Electronics Team Leader to join their Operations department. The main purpose of this role is to support the Manufacturing Supervisor by managing a team and driving Continuous Improvement using Lean principles to maximise available resources and achieve DIFOTIS to meet customer expectations.

You will be required to set up next day jobs, planning for flow lines and ensuring the team has all the tools, materials and adequate skills to perform the tasks and referring any issues directly to the Production Supervisor.

    To be successful you will ideally have the following:

    • Previous team leader experience working in a factory environment
    • Electronics background
    • Knowledge/practice in Lean Manufacturing
    • Encourages team members by offering support and motivation
    • Ability to make difficult decisions
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work to deadlines and time pressures
    • Previous experience with SMT manufacturing would be highly desirable.
