Their Lower Hutt location is looking for an experienced production assistant to join their team and provide the 5-star service they are known for with their customers.

    Responsibilities

    The Production Assistant will be responsible for providing an accurate oversight to all key managers on assembly, supply chain functions, as well as production requirements. Ensuring our clients internally manufactured products meet and exceed DIFOTIS (Delivery in Full on Time in Spec) targets set and maintaining a lean production and inventory environment focusing on continuous improvement.

    This is a hands-on role where you are required to help on the assembly line as well as assisting with production and supply chain duties and anything else that is needed to ensure a high standard of service is provided to their customers.

    Assembly

    • Test products and subassemblies for functionality or quality
    • ESD awareness and checks
    • Incoming goods inspection

      Production

      • Set production goals and production schedules to meet sales forecasts
      • Reporting Production KPI's (e.g. Rolling Yield, Production Rate)
      • Bill of Material (BOM) management

        Supply Chain

        • MRP (material requirements planning) as per forecast provided by the sales team
        • Provide cash flow forecast to finance team
        • Shipping & Inventory management

          Looking for

          • 1 - 2 years' experience running an assembly and production line
          • 1 - 2 years' experience successfully running a supply chain
          • Able to speak fluent mandarin would be an advantage
          • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronic/Supply Chain (advantage to have)
