Job description

Our client is a NZ owned company based in Highbrook. They are looking for a practical, hands-on and logical thinking Electrical Technician who will report directly to the Product Development Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and testing of electrical products
  • Assessment, repair and testing of electrical product returns and warranty claims
  • Monitoring sources products to ensure compliance with standards certification
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of new electrical products
  • Ensure test equipment is utilised and fully operational
  • Assist in factory and warehouse duties if required

    You will need to have the following knowledge:

    • Electrical or electronics qualification
    • EST qualified
    • NZ Standard familiarity
    • Forklift licence
    • Best practice operation of light machinery

      And the following skills:

      • Electrical product assembly
      • Product QA process
      • Ability to follow instructions and forward plans to identify potential issues
      • Be accurate
      • Good numeracy, verbal and written skills
      • Physically fit

        • Light manufacturing and assembly
