Maintenance Electrician/Foreman

The role requires a strong focus on providing technical and maintenance management skills in line with Strategy Base Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance principles to optimize plant, equipment and production budget outcomes. You will be instrumental in driving continuous operations and ensuring reliability and best practice maintenance services across the company's site.

To be successful, you must have:

  • Relevant Qualification in: Electrical Trade Certificate (General Electrical Practicing License) / Electrical Engineering (Diploma or Degree) - registered with EWR Board of NZ
  • Ideally Minimum 5 years electrical maintenance/project experience in food manufacturing (FMCG preferable)
  • Diagnostic and fault-finding expertise with root cause analysis
  • Experience driving a preventative maintenance culture to shift the focus from reactive maintenance activities.
  • Strong electrical experience, including PLC knowledge
  • Allen Bradley programming experience is desirable.
  • Project Management skills - Scope, design and estimate electrical requirements
  • In depth knowledge of Electrical Standards
  • Mechanical skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience in high speed end line packing systems.
  • Strong Customer focus and team orientation
  • Demonstrated ability in leading teams and creating a positive team environment
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisations
  • Ability to understand and interpret a diverse range of business activities

    The purpose of this position is to actively support production and site activities to optimize productivity and minimize plant reliability. You will use your engineering knowledge to analyze equipment failure modes and your leadership skills to facilitate cross functional groups in decision-making and improvements. Your ability to juggle and priorities is important as you should be able to work with minimum supervision.
