Our client, a successful Civil Construction firm out of Christchurch, has established a base in Nelson, and due to growing significant long term projects, now wants to build its team further. This opportunity will suit a hardworking drainlayer who is seeking an opportunity to develop their leadership skills with the view to managing a team. This is an ideal chance for you to take your next step in your career and start sharing your expertise with less experienced staff.

Through this role, we are looking to establish more local Drainlaying teams throughout the region, and so the opportunity to develop and grow with this business is huge!

              What we need from you:

              • Experienced and competent in subdivision/commercial drainage works for storm/wastewater
                • Full Class 1 license & WTR
                  • NZPGDB qualified with experience in dealing with councils (preferred but not critical)
                    • Be a reliable, honest, flexible who gets along with all types
                      • A strong advocate for health & safety
                        • The ability to lead a team to high performance
