Distribution Centre Manager

This is one of the most uniquely run DC’s I have had the pleasure of recruiting for. Perfectly well mapped with every inch safely utilized our client an Australian retail giant is looking for a DC Supervisor to manage the daily responsibilities of the DC on behalf of the operations manager.
You will need to be a committed Warehouse Supervisor capable of providing strong and effective leadership and running a well organised operation to support the wider company operations. You will be required to lead by example and be hands on.
You will need & be responsible for:
* 10 years’ experience in a Warehousing and Logistics environment
* Previous experience in continuous improvement projects & implementation
* Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to think outside the square.
* Supervising, leading, coaching and motivating a diverse team of individuals.
* Clear leadership experience & examples of leading large and varied DC teams
* Proactive planning and process – resource, capacities, warehouse and transport providers
* Development of cross functional/company process to improve efficiencies.
* An understanding of MPI & fumigation
* Ensure SLA compliance with partners.
* Excellent collaborative and relationship management skills
* The ability to effectively problem solves and find solutions.
